Buenas Bagoong Alamang is a savoury Filipino condiment made from tiny salted shrimp (about 80%) mixed with salt (around 19-20%) and a little water. It has a strong umami flavour that adds depth to dishes without requiring much preparation.
Use it to boost flavour in traditional recipes like binagoongan, kare-kare, or stir-fried vegetables. It’s also great as a dip for unripe mango or as a seasoning in soups and sauces. Store it in a cool, dry place and refrigerate after opening to keep its freshness.
