Refund policy

At Barrio, we take pride in providing high-quality Filipino groceries and ensuring customer satisfaction. Please review our return and refund policy below:

1. Perishable Items (Fresh, Frozen, Dairy, etc.)

Due to food safety regulations, we do not accept returns or exchanges on perishable items. However, if you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged or spoiled upon delivery
  • Expired at the time of arrival
  • Incorrect (not what you ordered)

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we will offer a replacement or refund.

2. Non-Perishable Items (Canned Goods, Snacks, Dry Products, etc.)

We accept returns on non-perishable items within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging.
  • The item is not damaged due to misuse or improper storage.

To initiate a return, please email us at hello@barrio.co.nz with your order number and reason for return.

3. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item, damaged product).
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we are not responsible for lost return packages.

4. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.
  • Shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable.
